My teaching style is centered around encouraging young talent to become the best versions of themselves that they can be. In my near decade of teaching experience, I have found that students of all ages and levels respond best to positive reinforcement backed by adherence to an uncompromising standard of fundamentals. I don’t tell my students what they’ve done “wrong,” I tell them what they did well and what could be better.

I am also a firm believer that a musician should love the music they play, so I tailor repertoire choices to each student’s taste. I have taught a diverse array of styles, from the great showpieces by Franz Liszt to music from The Legend of Zelda and Howl’s Moving Castle. I specialize in crafting bespoke arrangements of pieces that suit a particular student’s level so that they can learn what they want while being properly challenged.

I have worked with students at all ages and levels in both piano and music theory. Please inquire below if you are interested.
